Pharmacy TechnicianA local pharmaceutical company in Athens, Ohio, is seeking pharmacy technicians to support daily pharmacy operations. In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assisting with prescription preparation, customer service, inventory management, and administrative tasks to ensure efficient and compliant pharmacy operations. This client is open to both entry-level and experienced candidates.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist pharmacists with measuring, counting, packaging, and labeling medicationsPrepare and compound medications under supervisionGreet patients, answer phone calls, and gather patient and insurance informationProcess insurance claims, payments, and cash register transactionsEnter prescription and patient data into pharmacy systemsStock shelves, monitor inventory, and remove expired medicationsOrder and organize pharmacy supplies as neededMaintain required paperwork and pharmacy recordsFollow all Ohio Board of Pharmacy regulations, safety standards, and infection-control proceduresThis is a full-time, temp-to-direct position, hiring ASAP. The current schedule is Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM and Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Hours may vary, and future expansion includes possible Sunday hours and midnight shifts. Pay is commensurate with experience. On-site pharmaceutical training, paid testing/registration, and a benefits package is available.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredOhio Board of Pharmacy registration and/or certification requiredPharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT/PTCB) preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsGood communication and customer service skillsAbility to work accurately in a fast-paced environmentAbility to pass a drug screen and an FBI/BCI background check
